  • Automated Buffer

AMI introduces the new MTF-B01, an expanded capacity In-line Buffer. This unit accommodates up to 120 PCBs, wafers or ceramic substrates. The first in, first out (FIFO) buffer offers programmable index dwell time, is easily adjusted for substrate width and offers a pass-through feature to bypass buffering when not necessary.

The buffer has been designed to meet PCB assembly, Solar Cell, and Printed Inks/Hybrid circuit production needs. It can be used prior to drying of certain inks to allow for “settling time” or it can be used after the dryer/furnace to accept substrates when the next process is not online. Designed to meet CE and SMEMA standards, the PLC controlled buffer can be integrated into production lines with equipment from most manufacturers. The adjustable speed entrance and exit edge rails can be ordered as front-, rear-, or center-justified.

  • MSP-485 Printer

The new AMI MSP-485 precision screen printer is now available.  The MSP-485 is a modular screen printer for batch use and is ergonomically designed, accommodates a screen size of 12" x 12", is PLC controlled, cost conscious, user friendly, and built with AMI's renowned durability.

AMI introduces two new versions of their popular manual vision alignment systems. The PC based vision systems both simplify initial screen to substrate alignment as well as provide accurate print to substrate alignment on all subsequent prints.

The new u-Lign II™ system utilizes adjustable dual crosshairs for alignment whereas the more advanced u-Lign IV™ system offers four alignment strategies including boundary tracking, full image overlay, adjustable dual crosshairs and ellipse. The u-Lign IV™ also includes an Alignment Lock Out feature, which guarantees precise operator alignment to the manager’s set tolerance prior to printing.

Both systems share software capabilities such as image zoom, precise measurement, notepad and user level assignments. The hardware of the systems include a 17"color monitor, articulated monitor mount, two high resolution CCD cameras, industrial light pen interface, and pneumatic locking X,Y camera mounts.

Both manual vision alignment systems are offered as optional equipment for  our line of precision semiautomatic screen printers and are also available in retrofit form for existing AMI printers, of any vintage, in the field.

  • Self-Leveling Print Head

A long-anticipated addition to our product line has arrived: the SLP-1 Self-Leveling print head.

This print head allows a control system to continuously monitor and adjust the squeegee pressure applied to the substrate.  This advanced design uses direct drive technology and linear encoders to reach the perfect precise print.  Its ergonomic design has already received high praise from early users.

User-friendly software simplifies setup.

  • AMI Accepts Credit Cards

AMI can now accept MasterCard, VISA, and American Express for all orders.  Many customers requested this convenience for spare parts, lint-free cloths, squeegees, etc.   Ordering by credit card can be done on-line, phone, or fax.
